In today's digitally connected world, artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly significant role in the way we teach, learn, and write. This 4-module course is designed to empower educators to harness the potential of AI in teaching writing, fostering creativity, ensuring academic integrity, and navigating the ethical implications.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Think critically about AI's impact on the teaching and learning of writing skills.
- Use various AI tools effectively in the instruction of key writing skills.
- Articulate the main ethical issues that the proliferation of AI use presents for the teaching and learning of witing.
- Craft effective AI-use policies for their classroom.
Logistics
Who should take this course? Educators at all levels and disciplines who are interested in thinking deeply about how and when to integrate AI into their teaching of writing. No prior experience with AI is required.** Course Credit:** This course can optionally be taken for 1, 2, or 3 graduate credits through Southern New Hampshire University. Please indicate on your registration form whether you plan to seek graduate credit for this course.
Asynchronous: The course can be completed at your own pace with a recommended pace of 1 module/week. All course content and assignments can be completed at any time. The instructor will be available for questions via email.
