Course Structure

This course has eight modules. Each module includes:

  • 2-3 lessons with explanations, examples, and more!
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> An academic reading from various different disciplines
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> A discussion question based on the academic reading (this is only required if you are taking the course for credit through SNHU)
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> An assignment to help you practice the skills
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> A list of resources for you to build on your learning <!-- /wp:list-item -->

You must complete this course in order. You will gain access to each module after completing the previous one. You can navigate the course through the orange buttons at the bottom of each page or the course outline on the left.

<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

We encourage you to review the syllabus, linked here, for a detailed breakdown of the content, assignments, and policies.

<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

Course Credit

<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

We will issue a PD Certificate for you at the end of the course to use as proof of completion with your school or district.

<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

We have also partnered with Southern New Hampshire University to offer pre-service and in-service teachers three graduate credits for successfully completing the course. If you want to register for course credit, please use the form link to provide the requisite information. You do not have to register for credit to complete the course.

Course Tools

<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

Because we want you to get hands-on practice with actual artificial intelligence tools, we require using AI tools that you must sign up for separately. We recommend creating a free OpenAI account for this course to use ChatGPT. Other free AI tools that require an account are Bing Chat and Bard. Free chatbots that don’t require an account include perplexity.ai and you.com. We highly encourage you to make an account on all these websites to get a feel for the variety of tools already out there.

<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

Note: We will mention resources throughout this course that require paid subscriptions. It is up to you whether you wish to explore those further, but you will never be required to use them to complete an assignment in this course.

<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

The rest of the content, including readings, lessons, assignments, and guides, will be accessible directly on our platform.
